Privacy Policy

Introduction
A Good Walk LLC operates Relivix, a mobile app for documenting sports outings (golf rounds, shooting sessions, cycling events, and races) alongside the trips, meals, and memories around them. We try to keep the app simple and our data practices the same. This policy explains exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and, importantly, what we don't do.
What We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and (if you choose to add one) a profile photo. If you sign in with Apple, Google, or Facebook, we also receive a unique identifier for that account from the provider. We never receive your password from those providers.
Content you create in the app. Rounds and scores, experiences (trips and outings), notes, photos and videos you upload, itinerary items (hotels, restaurants, flights, activities), achievements you earn, friends you connect with, and comments or reactions you post.
Location, only when you ask for it. We use your device location only in the foreground, and only when you tap something that needs it. For example, "find courses near me." We do not track your location in the background and we do not store a continuous location history.
Camera, photo library, and microphone access. When you choose to add a photo or video, we read the file you select. The microphone is requested only because video recordings include audio. We do not access your camera roll, microphone, or camera unless you initiate the action.
Crash reports and basic usage analytics. We use Sentry to capture crashes and errors so we can fix them, and Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used (e.g., "experience created", "round viewed"). These records include a user ID and basic device info (model, OS version, app version). They do not include the contents of your notes, photos, or messages.
Push notification tokens. If you allow push notifications, your device gives us an anonymous token we use to send notifications about friend requests, achievements, and round updates. You can turn this off at any time in your OS settings.
Subscription status. If you subscribe to Relivix Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to keep track of which subscription tier you have. We never see your payment card or billing details.
What We Don't Collect
To be explicit:
- We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
- We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers for targeting.
- We do not track your location in the background.
- We do not read your contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs, or browsing history.
- We do not integrate with Apple HealthKit or Google Fit and we do not collect health, fitness, or biometric data.
- We do not use the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or Android Advertising ID for cross-app tracking. Relivix does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt because we have nothing to track across apps.
- We do not record your screen or keystrokes.
How We Use What We Collect
- To operate the app: show your rounds, experiences, photos, and friends back to you and to people you choose to share with.
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure.
- To send notifications you have opted in to.
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and decide what to build next.
- To respond when you contact support.
Service Providers We Use
We rely on a small set of established service providers to run the app. Each one only receives the data it needs to do its job, and each is bound by its own privacy commitments and a contract with us:
- Auth0 (Okta): sign-in and identity.
- Amazon Web Services: application hosting (ECS, RDS) and photo/video storage (S3, CloudFront). All of your content is stored here.
- RevenueCat: subscription management.
- Apple App Store / Google Play: payment processing for subscriptions.
- Firebase (Google): analytics events and push notifications.
- Sentry: crash and error reporting.
- Google Maps: map tiles and course geolocation.
- SendGrid (Twilio): transactional emails (e.g., friend requests, password resets).
- OpenAI: generating optional summaries of experiences you create. Only the experience details you have already chosen to record are sent, and only when a summary is requested.
- Google AdMob: banner ads in the feed for users on the free tier. Subscribers do not see ads. AdMob does not receive personally identifying account data from us.
Sharing Within the App
Relivix is partly social. Each piece of content (an experience, a round, a photo, your account itself) has a visibility setting (private, friends-only, or public) that you control. We never make content more public than the setting you chose. Your friends can see what you have shared with them; the rest stays with you.
Children
Relivix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will remove the account.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is permanent and cascades through everything tied to you: your profile, rounds, scores, experiences, notes, photos and videos in our storage, friend connections, achievements, push tokens, and your authentication record at Auth0. If you signed in with Apple, the Apple refresh token is also revoked, per Apple's requirements.
If you can't access the app for any reason, you can request deletion at support@relivix.app and we will process it within 7 business days. You can also use our deletion request page.
Some records may be retained briefly in encrypted backups or where required by law (for example, financial records of a subscription purchase), and then are deleted on a normal rotation.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. The in-app delete flow handles most deletion requests directly; for anything else, email support@relivix.app and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Security
Tokens are stored on your device in the operating system's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Photos and videos are stored in private S3 buckets and served through signed URLs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and to limit who can access your data internally.
International Use
We are based in the United States, and your data is processed there. If you use Relivix from outside the U.S., you are choosing to send your information to the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy meaningfully, we will update the date above and, where required, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of Relivix after a change means you accept the updated policy.
